Athens Greece Now One Of The World's Best Vacation Destinations

Athens Greece for the longest time was never on many people's must
travel to list. but that is that's changing very rapidly everyday.
Athens has made a commitment to their city and image around and they
sure have done that. With more first class hotels, which are some of
the best in the world and plenty to do. Athens is now mentioned with
other cities as a travel destination.
Athens knew there needed to be a change especially with their hotels.
Now don't get me wrong there were some nice ones. By getting the
Olympics Athens had to change some things and the first was to upgrade
their hotels. With all the athletes that were coming extra rooms were
needed and Athens knew they had to do something, and boy they did a
great job.
Let's take a look at some of the additions they made. The first and
foremost hotel was the Grand Bretagnee which is located in downtown
Athens and definitely needed a face lift and after 2 years and over
100 million invested it's now a state of art beauty. It's now
considered the best luxury hotel in Athens. Updating the hotel to
include Dvd players and Internet access was a great touch but it
didn't lose any of it's charm as the renovation keep it's old style
look with new style charm.
The Athens Hilton went through major renovations for two years also
and the Olympics federations were so happy with it they booked all the
rooms for the Olympics. The Athens Hilton boasts a rooftop galaxy bar
which almost everyone goes too. The Hilton has been expanded to almost
500 rooms and 19 suites and with a built in health club who could ask
for more. The Syntagma Square is only a 10 minute walk from the Athens
Hilton hotel.
Greek Food
Athens isn't just hotels, there's plenty to do and let's look at a few
of them. Greece is known for their Ancient structures and through the
cities there are plenty to see for the traveler who wants something
different to see. But no matter who you talk to Greece is known for
their food too.
Many restaurants throughout Greece will make you come back for
more. Like many before have told me if you haven't tasted real Greek
food you haven't tasted food.
