Hotel Rooms In Atlanta Can Be Cheap If You Know Where To Look For
Discount Hotel Room Reservations by
Jack Hilton
When I first started off this site about my journeys one of the
first places that I wanted to write about was Atlanta. After all it is
like my second home when I am not in New York City. I have stayed in a
lot of hotels in Atlanta and I could and will probably review them all
on this site before it is finished.
I am an Atlanta Falcon fan that lives in NYC and I fly down there
three or four times a year, When I first started going to Atlanta I
would usually stay at the Omni hotel or Embassy suites because they
are really close to the Georgia Dome. They are more expensive than the
other hotels but at the time I wanted to be really close since I was
new to the city.
After flying down to Atlanta I started to walk around and I seen that
there were quite a few hotels only a few more blocks away from the
Georgia Dome & Phillips Arena. Right on the other side of Centennial
park is the Westin and Holiday inn and right around the corner from
them is the Days Inn and also the Super 8 is a block away too.
The last time I was there I stayed at the Holiday Inn and I found it
quite comfy and the price was great too. Don't get me wrong the Omni
and Embassy suites are great but if you are looking to save money like
me you cant go wrong with the prices when it comes to these hotels.
I liked the Holiday inn and it was the first time I stayed there and I
will probably stay there again. I usually stay at the Days Inn but the
last time they were full so that is why I chose the Holiday Inn.
The Days Inn has a nice restaurant that is open 24 hours right in the
lobby. The meals are huge and the prices are way too low. They also
have a little bar/nightclub there that is ok to have a beer after
watching the Falcons win.
I have also stayed at the Super 8 and they had a great all you could
eat breakfast buffet. The price is really low there for hotel
reservations. All of these hotels are in walking distance to Five
Points where the famous Underground Atlanta is located. Each guest
room is comfortably appointed with all of the amenities you would
expect including, steps from a diner, shopping and entertainment
venues. It is also just 4 blocks to GA World Congress Center, Georgia
Dome, and just minutes from MARTA/Peachtree Station - Atlanta's Superb
Light Rail System.
If you like to shop there is no better place on the planet. For the
kids there is the World of Coca cola which is always fun. You can shop
and take the kids out and have fun with the money you save on your
hotel stay in Atlanta.
