Detroit The Motor City Will Rev Your Up Plans for A Vacation
by K Watkins
Detroit has always been known as the motor city, mostly in part
because of the big three automakers call Detroit their home. Things
are changing now in Detroit, it's becoming more of a tourist city even
though they are sticking to their roots. It's the best of both worlds.
Detroit Hotels
If your coming to Detroit you will need to find a place to stay and
Detroit has some very fine places you can stay the night at. The
Atheneum Suite Hotel downtown has over 200 suites that have almost
anything you can think of, from in room compact disc players to
spacious rooms The Atheneum Suite Hotel downtown has it all. One of my
favorite is the 24 hour room service. No matter what time it is you
can get something which if you have kids this is great.
Budget Hotels In Detroit
For those travelers who don't want to spend a lot of money but
still want a nice hotel give the Inn at ferry street a try. A string
of Victorian homes make up the Inn in which 42 unique rooms have been
updated and renovated for a historical look. This is one hotel you
will enjoy and admire how beautiful the rooms are and you get
everything the big hotels have but on a smaller scale.
Detroit has so many things to do it's hard to figure out where to
start. Sports teams are a big part of Detroit, but so is the Auto
industry. Many museums which show our country's history also are in
Detroit. Two great ones you need to check out is the Henry Ford Museum
and the Greenfield Village, both you will definitely be worth going
through.
Of course you could take in a Tigers game or a Detroit Pistons game
or if you are into Hockey you have the World Champion Detroit
Redwings.
Detroit will surprise you with how it's grown as a city and how
much fun you will have on a trip to Detroit.
